At the Maasai markets, you will be able to browse authentic handicrafts and learn about the traditional ways of the Maasai people. One of the highlights of your visit to Arusha will be the chance to witness the art of Shanga making. This traditional craft involves the creation of beautiful, intricate jewelry and other decorative items using recycled materials such as glass beads and fabrics. You can observe the skilled craftsmen and women at work and even try your hand at making your own Shanga creations to take home as a unique souvenir of your trip.
