Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, as we head south towards the breathtaking Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a delightful picnic lunch before embarking on an exciting afternoon game drive. Tarangire is renowned as the ‘Elephant Playground,’ and it’s not uncommon to encounter large herds of elephants, sometimes numbering up to 300.
Although Serengeti is more famous, Tarangire rivals it during the dry season with its impressive animal density. Apart from elephants, the park is home to buffalo, lions, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and even rarer species like gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. The park’s marshy shores near Lake Burungi attract an array of beautiful bird species, such as giant kingfishers, hoopoes, and the charming white-bellied go-away bird. The iconic baobab trees, rolling savannah, and acacia woodlands make this park truly unique. After an unforgettable afternoon, we’ll head to our lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful evening. Also Explore the serene beauty of Shose Farm House and Chalets. Perfect for a peaceful getaway, this destination offers cozy accommodations surrounded by nature. Visit Shose Farm House and Chalets to learn more and book your stay.

The caldera is the largest volcanic crater in the world, offering a stunning mix of grasslands, forests, and swamps that form an awe-inspiring backdrop for wildlife.
The crater floor, with its permanent water sources, supports over 25,000 large mammals, including elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, hippos, waterbucks, baboons, and even the rare black rhino. This diverse ecosystem is also home to the Maasai people, who have lived here alongside the wildlife since 1956.
